Singapore, 7 March 2006 - Epson, the world leader in digital imaging and printing solutions hosted a prize presentation ceremony in Singapore for the regional winners of the Epson Colour Imaging Contest 2005.

Sponsored by Seiko Epson Corporation and the Epson Group Companies, the contest was launched for all art and photography enthusiasts, aiming to encourage and promote digital endeavours and to give them an opportunity to display their hidden and creative talents to the fullest. This year there were a total of 69,000 works, out of which, 11,783 entries were from South East and South Asia, including Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia.

Participants were given a choice of three categories to enter namely, Colour Imaging Award, Family Snap Award and Nature and Human Life Photo Award. 40 winners from the region were honoured at a prize presentation held on 6th February 2006.

Winning images are currently being showcased in an exhibition entitled "Best Shots - 2nd Edition" at epSITE, Epson Imaging Gallery at Wheelock Place, Orchard Road in Singapore. epSITE showcases regular photography and art exhibitions to share the artist or photographer's works with the Singapore community and to also illustrate the ways in which technology can produce outstanding images through digital imaging solutions.

The "Best Shots - 2nd Edition" exhibition was launched today and will be exhibited until 30th April 2006 at epSITE, Epson Imaging Gallery located at Level Three, Wheelock Place.
