Targeted at cost-conscious general home and SOHO users, the EPSON Stylus™ CX3700 provides excellent print quality in an economical solution that is able to produce BorderFree™ printouts up to A4 in size.

Unique to this price segment and key to the EPSON Stylus™ CX3700 economy is the intelligent INKdividual™ cartridge system, which allows the user to replace only the ink that has been used with low-cost genuine Epson cartridges. An in-built Black Ink Save mode is intelligent enough to mix colours when black ink runs low, ensuring colour consistency and continued printing.

This economical all-in-one solution that allows users to print, scan and copy photos directly, features Epson's DURABrite™ Ultra ink, ensuring improved quality and durability with each printout. The water, smudge and fade resistant properties of this ink combine with a very quick drying time to promote improved economy by avoiding reprints as a result of text highlight smearing or smudging due to handling.

Improved durability and print quality with DURABrite™ Ultra
Using Epson's new DURABrite™ Ultra Ink, which is optimised for printing on low-cost plain paper, users will experience superior BorderFree™ printing without the usual high costs associated with quality. For users requiring photo quality prints, the ability to print at 5760 optimised dpi combined with the new Ultra Glossy Photo Paper, gives great quality, glossy prints. Epson's new DURABrite™ Ultra Ink also has improved durability of up to 120 years* lightfastness.

Ease of Use
Epson has carefully considered the user requirements of easy printing and copying and have designed a simple control panel that allows fast and simple operation of the printer in a stand-alone mode. With the 600dpi CIS scanner, there is virtually no warm-up time, just walk up and start copying.

New Integrated Software
EPSON Creativity Suite is a new integrated software bundle that is designed to automate many of the tedious tasks involved in printing. EPSON Easy Photo Print gives a simple 3-stage interface for the user to choose the image, position/frame the image, then print in vibrant durable colour. The scan to e-mail or fax function makes sending scanned articles simple.

Everyone has old, faded photos. The Colour Restore function will bring them back to life with one click of a button, allowing them to be re-printed and restored to their original glory. Management of these newly restored images is easy with the EPSON File Manager component, which allows files to be moved, copied and deleted.

Performance and Economy
Performance is achieved primarily through the use of Epson's Micro Piezo print head technology that allows ink droplet size to be varied down to a minimum of 4 picolitre. This results in a more accurate dot placement to improve fine detail and graininess and the ability to use larger droplets on large areas of the same colour, thus reducing the number of passes and the volume of ink to increase speed and reduce cost.
