Singapore, 28 April 2008 - Epson, a world leader in digital imaging, announced the launch of the Epson AcuLaser M4000N monochrome laser printer. Built for the high productivity needs of large workgroups, the new laser printer handles all complex print jobs with amazing ease.
Faster is better
Blaze away print jobs with printing speeds of up to 43 pages per minute. In duplex mode (with optional duplexer), the Epson AcuLaser M4000N can comfortably churn out a 100-page PDF file below two minutes! Even at the maximum print speed, Epson's AcuLaser toner technology supports print resolutions at a sharp 1,200 dots per inch for outstanding print quality.
Epson's newest laser addition also slashes printer warm up time, and users can expect a first page out time in just 7.9 seconds to help minimise waiting time.
Flexible paper handling and toner capacities for printing that goes on and on
Whatever your printing volume, the Epson AcuLaser M4000N can be configured for your needs. Starting with a standard 700 sheet capacity (1 x 550 sheet lower tray and 1 x 150 sheet closed tray), the laser printer can be set up with optional paper trays to carry up to a whopping 1,800 sheets (with additional 2 x 550 sheet paper trays).
For long periods of continuous printing, the new laser printer requires minimal maintenance. It features a high yield toner capable of printing up to 20,000 pages, and an extended life fuser which only needs replacing after 200,000 pages.
Optional upgrades for advanced features
Out from the box, the Epson AcuLaser M4000N already includes a strong set of regular features. For instance, the Overlay feature helps users print letterheads directly onto original documents, while the Anti-Copy function is a great internal compliance tool. Apart from the original document, all reproduced documents will bear a watermark feature to thwart illegal duplication.
There is a selection of upgrade option for users with varying demands. For heavy volume printing, on top of the duplexer and paper tray upgrades, users have an array of other options to help boost office efficiency. For instance, the paper stacker is useful for users who need automatic document sorting.
For large file sizes, the standard 64MB memory can be expanded up to 576MB. For the most advanced users, the Epson AcuLaser M4000N can be upgraded with an internal optical hard disk drive to access a high-end set of features.
If secure printing ranks high in your office, the Epson AcuLaser M4000N offers a password protection feature. This requires authorised users to input a password to access print jobs stored in the printer's memory.
Re-print Job is another useful feature for a workgroup environment. It allows users to save a print job in the printer's memory for re-print at a later time and does away with the need to execute print commands from a PC. The BookMark function stores all your common settings which can be recalled at a tap of a button.
To fit seamlessly into every office, the new laser printer comes ready with built-in network, USB and parallel interface as standard. For those who prefer, the printer can be fitted with an optional USB Type B interface.
To help users access the wealth of functions, the Epson AcuLaser M4000N is designed with a large LCD screen to graphically guide users through various print job configuration.
With superior print speed and a complete suite of features, the Epson AcuLaser M4000N is an excellent asset for the most demanding print environment. With a slew of upgrade options, users can fully customise according to their requirements. Available now, the Epson AcuLaser M4000N is priced at S$2,368.00.
