AFFORDABLE EPSON DREAMIO EMP-TW20 3LCD PROJECTOR BRINGS THE BIG SCREEN TO YOUR HOME
The EPSON EMP-TW20 home projector offers performance and affordability in a stylish intelligent design

Singapore, 12th October 2005 - Epson, the world leader* in data projectors has announced the launch of the EPSON Dreamio EMP-TW20 home projector. This high performance yet affordable 3LCD projector aims to bring big screen entertainment into the homes.

By using advanced 3LCD technology, the EPSON EMP-TW20 produces superior picture quality that is ahead of projectors in its class. The new built-in Epson Cinema Filter combines well with the efficient and long lasting E-TORL (Epson-Twin Optimize Reflection Lamp) to further contribute to the big screen quality projection the EPSON EMP-TW20 is capable of.

"When designing the EPSON EMP-TW20, we kept in mind the need to offer high performance projection to home users while meeting their sophisticated taste in style and cost efficiency," said Mr Kent Lew, Manager, Visual Instruments. "Not only have we achieved what we set out to do, we have also made the EPSON EMP-TW20 function brilliantly within the constraints of space."

Space is not a constraint
The vertical and horizontal lens shift function allows users to reposition the projection up to 0.25 screen-width laterally and 0.5 screen-width vertically, without image distortion. This function demonstrates the adaptability of the EPSON EMP-TW20 in small spaces while maintaining image quality and is especially useful for home users with space limitations.

With its short-throw projection lens, the EPSON EMP-TW20 is able to project an 80-inch screen from as near as 2.0m from the projection surface. Such features make the EPSON EMP-TW20 a home projector that is all set to bring the big screen experience into the home minus the big expense.

All put together in style
Despite having such powerful technical features, there is no compromise in the design of the EPSON EMP-TW20.  Besides being compact and light, the unique curves and polished design ensures that the chic and petite EPSON EMP-TW20 is a delightful addition to any home environment.

The EPSON EMP-TW20 is available at all Epson authorised dealers from September, at $1,999.

About 3LCD Technology

3-panel Liquid Crystal Display ('3LCD') is a projection system using three LCD panels (also known as high-temperature polysilicon or HTPS). A projector with the 3LCD system uses dichroic mirrors to break the white light from the lamp into red, green and blue light. Each of the three colors of light is then passed through its own LCD panel and then recombined by a prism before being projected onto the screen. The result is smooth-moving images with rich, full color, since all three basic colors are included in each pixel of the projected image at all times. Images projected with 3LCD are bright, natural and are gentle on the eyes.
