Singapore, 20 May 2008 – Epson, a world leader in digital imaging, announced the launch of the Epson Stylus™ TX400 inkjet all-in-one (AIO).  For the epitome of hassle free operations for SOHOs (Small Office Home Office), the AIO guides users via an integrated 2.5 inch LCD for true PC-free digital imaging experience.

The LCD interface communicates to users through a series of easy to understand graphics to help users access the wealth of functions - from common features like monitoring printer status and ink levels, to more advanced print preview and image touch-up.  The LCD screen is also tiltable for comfortable viewing.

To boost productivity in offices, the Epson Stylus™ TX400 is also built to reduce typically complicated features to a touch of a button.  Together with the LCD screen, users no longer have to plough through a long list of menus.  For instance, users can plug in a PictBridge device or a memory card into the card slot bay, watch a preview and print directly at the tap of one button, all without the use of a PC.

To complement the ease of use, the Epson Stylus™ TX400 uses DURABrite™ Ultra Inks for superior colours in documents and photos.  DURABrite™ Ultra Inks also boast the most outstanding water, smudge and fade resistance for up to 120 years*.  The durability feature of the DURABrite™ Ultra inks is a crucial consideration for businesses as it protects important documents against fading and damaging moisture from the environment.

To help with cost savings, the inks come separately in a four-colour configuration.  This means only used cartridges need to be replaced, and according to your usage demands.

For incredible sharpness in your photos, the AIO prints at up to 5760 dots per inch resolutions.  If you need your prints in a hurry, the Epson Stylus™ TX400 effortlessly powers through print jobs at 34 pages per minute (draft mode) for both black & white and colour documents. 

Scanning and Copying

The new AIO is equally accomplished in high quality scanning and rapid copying too.  The Epson Stylus™ TX400 scans at 1200 dots per inch resolution and copies at a rate of up to 30 copies per minute.

For essential small and home office photo and document management, Epson's bundled Creativity Suite helps uses find and sort digital files easily.  As a counterpart to scanning, the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software helps SOHO users automatically convert scanned documents into a text document for editing. 

Also included, Epson Easy Photo Print guides users through a very simple photo printing process, while the Epson PhotoEnhance acts like an invisible photography expert to fine tune photos for that professional finish.
