Singapore, 23 November 2005 – epSITE, Epson Imaging Gallery, in conjunction with 19 photographers from the Nature Photographic Society (Singapore) (NPS), has today launched the “From Ants to Eagles” photography exhibition. The exhibition aims to give an insight into the wondrous world of wildlife but also, with the longevity of prints being one of the key features of Epson's technology, future generations are ensured to see images of a natural world that they may never get to experience.
The exhibition will consist of images from different locations showing macros of the insect world. Working closely with the digital imaging consultants at epSITE, the photographers have produced 80 pieces of nature prints and Epson was able to take the main source and create an original print through the development of high-resolution, premium-quality and outstanding output digital imaging products. epSITE celebrates the diversity of digital art and takes advantage of the powerful output that Epson professional graphics printers deliver. With the use of Epson’s technology, users can go beyond their boundaries and create exceptional works of art allowing users to exceed their vision and go beyond their expectations.
The NPS aims to create an interest in preserving the beauty of the natural world through photography and they welcome every nature and photography enthusiast to join them in their endeavour. Through regular meetings and outings, members of the NPS are amazed by the beauty and diversity of the natural world and together, they help to generate a greater public interest and awareness to the natural environment. On behalf of the NPS, Mr Graeme Guy, President said, “We believe that a gathering of like-minded folks would be able to boost the level and awareness of nature photography to a much higher level than individuals can.
The sharing of technical knowledge and nature hideouts among a large group of nature photographers is undeniably invaluable and we are honoured to be able to share our images with the community by exhibiting at epSITE. We hope that the public will enjoy the exhibition.”
“By working with extraordinary images like these and in conjunction with Epson’s technology, epSITE, Epson Imaging Gallery is able to exceed people’s vision through exhibiting quality images, delivering a “spirit of innovation” and empowering our community with the skills to take digital imaging to the next level,” added Mr Tan Haur.
