USB Direct Print and PictBridge allows users to print directly from compatible digital cameras through a USB cable. Depending on the individual manufacturer’s implementation, users can automatically set paper size, type and print layout with the camera controls or directly on the printer.

Easy to Use Control Panel

Epson Stylus Photo R310 features an easy to use Basic Mode, which has the most common photo settings as preset option.  In its default setting, it prints 4R glossy photos, the most common photo size.  Additionally, it supports Digital Print Order Format (DPOF) for easy one touch printing. Basic Mode is designed for standalone printing using memory cards when the printer is not connected to a PC. In the Advance Mode, users can even choose to print multiple images or even a contact sheet containing all the images in the memory card.

Epson Stylus Photo R310 features an optional 2.5 inch preview monitor, which is one of the largest screen available for an even more enjoyable printing experience.

Front Loading Direct CD Printing without Labels

With the rising popularity of MP3s, the coolest way to store them are on personal CD/DVDs with unique design. With Epson Stylus Photo R310’s CD Printing Kit, printing on CDs is easy, especially with its easy to reach front loading CD tray and Epson Print CD software. Users can customize and print CD and DVD without the use of the traditional and complicated CD labels.

CD Printing without text can work even without the software or the PC, Users can choose to print one, four or just thumbnail images directly onto the CD.

And in its Heavy Duty Mode, image quality printing on CDs are even sharper.  Epson Print CD software also has built in templates that can be used to print on cover cards fitted into jewel cases.

Personalised CDs and DVDs can also make the storage of multimedia business presentation and personal data backup more professional and digital photo albums, vacation VCDs, music CDs more fun.

Photos that Last, Inks and Paper that make a difference

Epson Stylus Photo R310's 5760x 1440 optimised dpi and places it at the top of the market’s personal photo printer range. Photo INKdividual is Epson's new photo ink concept, where each INKdividual cartridge holds only one colour. And with the Epson Stylus Photo R310's six-colour printing, six different colour Photo INKdividuals are used – Cyan, Light Cyan, Magenta, Light Magenta, Yellow, Black.  Each colour Photo INKdividual need only be change when it truly runs out, leading to cost savings.  In terms of lightfastness, photos printed using Photo INKdividuals will last as least as long as photos from traditional labs.

Epson Stylus Photo R310 also features a new 1 inch print head with 540 nozzles, each nozzle pushing out three pico-litre using variable size droplet technology (3pl VSDT).  It prints each 4R photo at a remarkable speed of 39 seconds. And it achieves a top speed of 15.6ppm for black text and 15.1ppm for colour text.

The new Photo Inks when printed on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper gives the look and feel of a traditional photograph.  This Epson photo grade media has the thickness and stiffness of a traditional photo paper as well as a smooth glossy finish.

Colours That Pleases The Eyes

Epson Stylus Photo R310 also features Standard and Preferred (Vivid) Colour modes.  Most people prefer photos with colours that are more vibrant and alive. The vibrancy of colours in the Preferred Colour mode stands out more by saturating skin tones with rich hues and more lively shades.  Preferred colours, the positive aspect is that it can produce vivid colours and natural skin tones.

But for photographers who want greater control over of colours, they can switch back to Standard Colour mode where they can tweak the colours.

Like all other Epson photo printers, Epson Stylus Photo R310 features Epson PRINT Image Matching (P.I.M.) II technology and EXIF Print (including EXIF 2.2, which supports AdobeRGB) that enables images captured using digital cameras with P.I.M, P.I.M II or EXIF, to be accurately reproduced on paper.

Epson Stylus Photo R310 is bundled with Epson's easy-to-use photo utility, PhotoQuicker 3.5, which continues to keep printing digital camera images simple and straightforward boasting a larger interface for easy previewing and a red eye reduction feature.  This latest version even has a unique image enhancer for mobile phone camera images.

PhotoQuicker's PRINT Image Framer (P.I.F.) function, a tool that lets users add pre-constructed album frames, calendars, photo borders and more to their pictures, now has new a feature called P.I.F. Designer.

Users can use P.I.F. Designer to design their own picture frames or modify existing frames and apply them to their pictures for a truly unique and personalised look. These frames and templates can be stored either on the computer or on a memory card for direct application without a computer.
