Singapore, 29 June 2004: With the TG-5000LA EPSON provides a new component fitting ideally to the needs especially of GPS, GSM, CDMA cellular phone applications. This TCXO achieves an impressively high frequency stability of +/-2.0x10-6 over a temperature range of –30 to +80°C. Available in a wide range of frequencies between 19 and 26 MHz, the use of the TG-5000LA will be versatile. Its extraordinary noise characteristics leave competitors far behind. Power consumption creates another hurdle on the track of mobile devices that the TG-5000LA takes easily.
All this leading technology will be delivered in a size of 3.2 x 2.5 mm2 with a mere height of 1.1 mm (Typ.), of course in new hybrid SMD package called New Platform Oscillator (NPO). The new NPO structure is created by combining EPSON’s original plastic molding technology with a ceramic packaged crystal. The new NPO package is superior to ceramic package products in that it can absorb stress from the PCB board better thus providing high reliability against physical shocks. It also offers outstanding assembly characteristics.
Mass production for the new TG-series has already started; volume quantities are currently available. Specifications:
