HEAT-FREE TECHNOLOGY
Epson's inkjet printers are simple, non-contact systems. They deposit ink droplets on the media, without the use of heat. Pressure is applied to the Piezo element, which flexes backwards and forwards firing the ink from the printhead.

By optimally arraying 36 MicroTFP print chips in a diagonal configuration, Epson has developed a compact linehead just 43 mm wide that boasts about 33,500 active nozzles.
