Our first-ever 3LCD optical engine with triple colour light source technology brings emotional depth to every moment on screen.
Epson’s innovative Triple Core Engine transforms projection with upgraded image quality —unlocking a new level of immersion that pulls you into every scene.
Introducing Epson’s next-generation engine —where 3LCD meets triple colour light source.
Epson’s 3LCD projection technology emits all three primary colours simultaneously, allowing you to enjoy consistently bright and vivid images. When combined with our triple colour light source technology, the system delivers even more vibrant, lifelike visuals with exceptional brightness and rich colour. In contrast, other projection systems that rely on sequential colour projection may potentially suffer from trade-offs in brightness and colours, resulting in compromised visual quality.
Epson’s 3LCD projection system ensures equal white and colour brightness (100% WLO/CLO), bringing out every detail with vivid colour and consistent image quality. Unlike systems that project colours sequentially —potentially lowering colour brightness relative to white—Epson’s Triple Core Engine processes all colours simultaneously, maintaining full brightness and rich colour expression at all times.
Epson’s 3LCD projection system delivers full brightness and a wide colour gamut simultaneously —ensuring vivid, balanced images in any mode. Other systems may require a trade-off: maximising brightness can narrow the colour gamut, while preserving colour accuracy may reduce brightness. With Epson's Triple Core Engine, there’s no need to compromise. You always get the optimal visual experience—bright, colourful, and immersive.
Since 3LCD projection system emits the three primary colours of light continuously and simultaneously, there are no rainbow-like “colour breakup” effects. This ensures a smooth, uninterrupted viewing experience—free from visual distractions.
Unlike lasers, which inherently produce speckle noise, these light sources do not generate such interference—resulting in smoother, stress-free viewing with clear, uniform images.
The Light Tunnel precisely controls light output from the light source to ensure even distribution across the LCD panel-delivering bright, balanced visuals with no unevenness.
The Reflective Polariser Plate recycles previously unused light, significantly improving overall optical efficiency and contributing to brighter, more energy-efficient projection.
Epson’s custom-built system uses sensors and cameras to align optical components with extreme precision— identifying ideal bonding points between the light source and Light Tunnel to achieve optimal reflection angles.
Epson reduced the optical engine size by 40%, thanks to improved light utilisation efficiency—enabling advanced features like higher resolution and higher-performance audio, all without increasing the product size.
